Der NEXT Infrastruktur Fonds ist nach Artikel 9 der der EU-Offenlegungsverordnung (SFDR) konzipiert und zielt auf institutionelle sowie an private Anleger aus den Schwerpunktländern Deutschland und Österreich ab. Die Laufzeit wurde auf zehn Jahre nach Abschluss der Investitionsphase festgelegt. Unterstützt wurde NEXT bei der Auflage von dem luxemburgischen Rechtsberater AIQ UNITED aus Luxemburg.

Durch die konsequente Umstellung auf Grünstrom in den von Midstad gemanagten Liegenschaften, wird eine beträchtliche CO₂-Einsparung erzielt. Ermöglicht wird diese Umstellung durch einen gemeinsamen Energieeinkauf mit dem Hauptmieter Peek & Cloppenburg*Düsseldorf. Die Einsparungen von 13.200 Tonnen CO₂/a entsprechen etwa 2.100 Erdumrundungen mit einem PKW-Benziner oder dem jährlichen Stromverbrauch von 10.000 Haushalten.
